Licensed Therapist
We partner with elementary, middle, and high schools to provide proactive culture-building and on-site mental health support.
We are seeking mission-aligned professionals who are passionate about youth, emotionally regulated, and comfortable working in dynamic school environments. Position Overview The CARE Team Therapist / Program Support Staff will provide on-site support during Bully Talk Inc. school programs, including assemblies, small group facilitation, Youth Ambassador Program sessions, and staff development events.
This role requires professionalism, trauma-informed practice, and the ability to respond appropriately to student disclosures while working collaboratively with school staff. This is an Independent Contractor position. Key Responsibilities Support Bully Talk Inc. assemblies and school events Facilitate small group sessions (8-10 students) Provide emotional regulation support during programs Respond appropriately to student disclosures Follow mandated reporting procedures Collaborate with school counselors and administrators Complete post-event documentation within 24 hours Log hours accurately in Homebase system Represent Bully Talk Inc. professionally at all times Crisis & Safety Expectations Stay with students in crisis until relieved by school staff Immediately notify school administration of safety concerns Do NOT diagnose publicly Do NOT provide long-term therapy on campus unless contracted Follow Bully Talk Inc. Crisis Support Flow Protocol Qualifications Licensed or Associate Therapist (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, AMFT, ASW, APCC) preferred OR Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field Experience working with youth (school-based preferred) Knowledge of trauma-informed practices Understanding of mandated reporting laws Strong communication skills Ability to maintain emotional regulation in high-stress environments Professional liability insurance (if licensed) Preferred Experience Group facilitation experience School-based mental health experience Experience working with diverse youth populations Experience with prevention programming Compensation Competitive per-event or hourly rate (based on experience) Travel stipends may apply Payment processed through Homebase payroll system Professional Expectations Professional but relatable dress No political messaging while representing the organization No posting student images without written approval Must sign NDA and Independent Contractor Agreement Schedule Flexible scheduling based on school contracts Weekday availability required Occasional evening Parent Connect events possible Work Location In-person at school sites (Bay Area and surrounding cities) Why Join Bully Talk Inc.?
