Join Our Team EA Family Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe, caring homes for foster youth and supportive services for young adults transitioning out of foster care. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Visitation Monitor to support children and families in the Porterville area. This position plays a vital role in ensuring safe, structured family visitation while promoting family connections and supporting reunification goals when appropriate. Position Summary The Visitation Monitor is responsible for supervising visits between children and their families, documenting observations accurately, and maintaining a safe, respectful, and objective environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting children and families involved in the child welfare system. This position may require transporting clients and offers a flexible schedule based on program needs. Qualifications Minimum of six (6) months of experience working with emotionally disturbed children or children with significant behavioral challenges. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Child Development, or a related social science field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Prior childcare experience and/or knowledge of child development preferred. Professional Supervised Visitation Training and current TrustLine registration required. Must successfully complete DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index Clearance (CAIC), health screening, and TB clearance. Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record required. Bilingual skills are preferred. Desired Skills and Abilities Understanding of adolescent and young adult development. Passion for working with children, youth, and families. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and remain objective. Respectful and non-discriminatory approach toward individuals of diverse backgrounds. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and groups. Friendly, outgoing personality with strong public relations skills. Good physical health and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong observation, documentation, and organizational skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and monitor visits between children and family members while ensuring safety and appropriate interactions. Model healthy parenting skills and behaviors when appropriate. Complete accurate and timely visitation reports under the supervision of a Social Worker or Supervisor. Attend court hearings as needed. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all federal and state laws regarding child welfare and mandated reporting. Follow EA Family Services safety policies and procedures. Support reunification efforts as outlined in client treatment and case plans. Transport clients when necessary. Report any illegal, unsafe, or potentially harmful situations regarding child placements, resource family homes, group homes, or STRTPs to program leadership. Maintain flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends as required by visitation schedules. Perform other duties as assigned by agency leadership. Why Join EA Family Services?
