We have opportunities for experienced individuals eager to fill the critical role of a School Social Worker in schools across San Francisco. Qualifications :
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Basic Skills Requirement A valid license as a clinical social worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences OR proof of registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker upon date of hire. Hold a valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential California Pupil Personnel Services Credential authorizing service in social work What you'll do: Participate in special education assessments, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary educational planning. Provide individual, group, and family counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Conduct initial and ongoing mental health assessments, including evaluating the severity and urgency of concerns. Deliver crisis intervention and develop targeted interventions to improve academic engagement, behavior, and emotional regulation. Support students in developing social skills, conflict resolution abilities, self-understanding, and acceptance of others. Collaborate with families to reduce stress, strengthen school adjustment, and facilitate access to school- and community-based supports. Consult with and provide training to teachers and school staff regarding behavior management, mental health concerns, and factors impacting student performance. Coordinate and mobilize school, family, and community resources through case management and systems collaboration.
