Program and Role Summary Wayfinder's Supervised Visitation program provides parents whose children are in foster care with supervised visitation and coaching services to strengthen parenting skills, enhance parent-child relationships, and sustain family ties. The primary focus on the Visitation Coach Specialist, is to prepare the child and parent for visitation time and facilitates parent and child visitation, coaches the parent during visits to increase parents' sense of self-worth, empathy, bonding, and attachment to their child, helps parents' increase the use of alternative parenting strategies to harsh disciplinary practices, increase parents' knowledge of age-appropriate developmental expectations, and coordinates and facilitates "icebreakers" between parents and resource family caregivers. The hourly wage range for this role is $19.00 - $21.00. This is a part-time position budgeted for up to 20 hours/week.
