SEB Family Liaison (Field Elementary) Classified - Social Emotional and Behavior Services Team The primary goal of the Family Liaison is to act as the point of contact and cultural/linguistic liaison between primarily multilingual students and parents/guardians, and the school and local agencies. This position provides effective communication between students, their families, and the school team, while also connecting students and families to resources and opportunities within Littleton Public Schools and the broader community. This position also collaborates with colleagues at the school and district level to highlight the experiences and support the needs of multilingual students and their families. •Includes occasional evening and weekend hours •This position will be located at Field Elementary School.Education/Certification:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent A Bachelor's Degree or higher in human services, mental health or related field preferred Criminal background check required for hire Bilingual competency (Spanish and English) requiredExperience:
Ability to read, write, and speak both Spanish and English fluently Experience translating and interpreting both Spanish and English Experience working with multilingual families and community outreach Able to work effectively on a team and independently Critical thinking and problem solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions; able to manage multiple priorities Speaks to students, parents, colleagues, and community with respect and dignity. Recognizes opportunities for improvement and/or implements improved methods within the limits of authority;able to adapt to changes in responsibilities and work schedule.Immediate Supervisor:
