Director of Children's Ministries Organization:
First Baptist Church of Belle Glade Mission:
To impact the people of the Glades with the love of Jesus by creating a multi-cultural, gospel-centered environment for the next generation. 1.
Role Objective:
The Children's Director will provide visionary leadership and administrative oversight for all ministries involving children. This full-time role will develop and implement a weekly discipleship/evangelistic outreach model to consistently connect families into FBC Belle Glade. This role functions under the direct leadership and reporting structure of the Senior Pastor. Key Responsibilities 1. Ministry Leadership & Strategy •
Gospel-Centered Teaching:
Maintain a biblically sound curriculum that resonates with a diverse, multi-cultural student body. •
Sunday Experience:
Lead high-energy, engaging Sunday morning programs that make kids excited to return. •
Mid-Week Engagement:
Develop and oversee Wednesday night programs. 2. Team Building & Recruitment •
Volunteer Pipeline:
Recruit, vet, and train a diverse team of volunteers, ensuring every classroom has a "Lead Teacher" and support staff. •
Safety First:
Oversee the Child Check-In system and ensure 100% compliance with background checks and safety protocols. •
Staff Collaboration:
Work closely with the English and Spanish congregations to ensure a unified approach to children's ministry. 3. Community Outreach & Special Events •
Evangelistic Outreach Model:
Design, implement, and sustain a weekly, measurable outreach strategy that connects children and families outside the church walls through relational engagement. • The "Glades"
Impact:
Plan large-scale community events like VBS (Vacation Bible School), Fall Festivals, and summer camps to reach unchurched families in the area. •
School Partnerships:
Build bridges with local elementary schools to support teachers and students. 4. Ministry Care & Parent Equipping •
Home Discipleship:
Provide parents with practical tools (devotionals, digital resources) to lead their children spiritually at home. •
Ministry Support:
Be available to pray with and support families during times of crisis or celebration. Qualifications & Skills •
Theological Alignment:
Must wholeheartedly support the Baptist Faith and Message and the mission of FBC Belle Glade. •
Multi-Cultural Competency:
Ability to relate to and lead families from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. •
Leadership Experience:
Proven ability to lead diverse teams to drive measurable growth. • Bilingual Skills (A Plus): Given our community, the ability to communicate in English and Spanish is highly valued but not required. Work Schedule & Compensation •
