Certification Required School Social Worker Additional Job Information Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree Florida certification in school social work
Desired Qualifications:
Ability and desire to work with students, families and school personnel
Performance Responsibilities:
Design, implement and evaluate interventions for students experiencing learning and behavioral difficulties through active involvement in the Student Support Team and consultation with school personnel Assess students' needs through interviews of students, parents and school personnel Provide a written report of assessments and referrals and/or interventions Assist school teams with Functional Behavior Assessments and plans Assist school teams in determinations of eligibility for specific programs such as protection under Section 504, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and manifestation determinations Act as liaison with schools and families to increase understanding of students? needs and appropriate interventions Provide direct services to students via individual and/or group counseling Provide inservice training to school personnel and parents Serve as a member of district and school crisis teams and provide services in response to crises Assist in developing policies and procedures in response to district-wide needs Sustain focus and attention to detail Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services and/or designee Salary Salary based upon approved salary schedule -Instructional https://www.hernandoschools.org/departments/hr/salary-schedules Duty Days/Hours 197/7.75 Fill ASAP?
