Partners in Protection Co-Located Advocate - Part-Time Hendry/Glades County Abuse Counseling & Treatment, Inc. - 5.0 Fort Myers, FL Job Details Part-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Job-specific skills training (staff training program) Child welfare services experience Safety planning Mid-level Domestic violence situation handling Working with survivors of violence Domestic violence intervention Client advocacy in social work Full Job Description The Partners in Protection Co-Located Advocate will be co-located in the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Partners in Protection Investigation. The Co-located Advocate serves as the expert on child welfare involved domestic violence cases and helps build the capacity of child welfare professionals to partner with survivors and hold batterers accountable through case staffings, case consultations, and staff training. Although the primary role of the Advocate 20 hours per week (16 hours at Partners in Protection Office and 4 hours at ACT Outreach Offices) is to serve as a consultant to the child welfare staff, the co-located advocate is also available to provide safety planning, advocacy, and on-going support services to domestic violence survivors. Direct services will not exceed 25% of the Advocate's time on the Partners in Protection Project. ACT is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug-free workplace.
