Principal About Glades Academy Charter School Glades Academy Charter School is committed to providing a high-quality educational experience that empowers students to achieve academic excellence and personal growth. We are seeking a passionate and highly organized educational leader to serve as our Director of Student Services. This position oversees Exceptional Student Education (ESE), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Gifted Education, and Section 504 services while ensuring compliance, student success, and strong collaboration with teachers and families. Position Summary The Director of Student Services serves as a key member of the school leadership team and is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and monitoring all ESE, ESOL, Gifted, and Section 504 programs. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while providing direct support to students, teachers, and families. Essential ResponsibilitiesProgram Oversight Coordinate and oversee all ESE, ESOL, Gifted, and Section 504 programs. Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, Florida statutes, and district requirements. Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is audit-ready. Monitor student progress and ensure appropriate services are provided. IEP, EP, and 504 Coordination Schedule, facilitate, and monitor IEP, Educational Plan (EP), and Section 504 meetings. Ensure timelines and compliance requirements are met. Monitor implementation of accommodations, modifications, and student services. Coordinate evaluations, reevaluations, referrals, and eligibility processes. Ensure teachers understand and implement student plans with fidelity. Student Support Services Support students receiving ESE, ESOL, Gifted, and 504 services. Collaborate with teachers to develop intervention and support plans. Participate in MTSS and problem-solving team meetings. Monitor student achievement, attendance, and behavioral data. Leadership & Coaching Provide professional development and coaching to teachers regarding accommodations, differentiation, inclusion, and compliance requirements. Conduct classroom observations and provide instructional support. Collaborate with school leadership to improve outcomes for all learners. Family Engagement Serve as the primary liaison for parents regarding ESE, ESOL, Gifted, and 504 services. Facilitate positive communication between families, teachers, and support agencies. Ensure parents understand student rights, services, and educational plans. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Valid Florida Educator Certificate with ESE. Minimum of three years of successful educational experience. Knowledge of ESE, ESOL, Gifted, MTSS, and Section 504 requirements. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, Special Education, School Counseling, or related field. ESE Certification and/or ESOL Endorsement. Experience coordinating IEPs, 504 Plans, and compliance processes. Leadership or coordinator experience in a school setting.
