We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Monitor. Visitations will take place throughout the Tampa Bay area and we have a particular need for someone to cover Pinellas County, Palm Harbor and Tarpon Springs areas. As a Monitor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in various settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
  • Provide supervision and support to individuals in a variety of public settings, such as parks, libraries, museums, sporting events, restaurants and other public facilities.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all individuals under your care
  • Implement crisis management techniques and interventions when necessary
  • Assist with behavioral health interventions and strategies
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers or child protective services, to ensure the best outcomes for individuals
  • Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations
  • Conduct regular check-ins and monitor progress of individuals
  • Document observations and incidents accurately and thoroughly
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field
  • Previous experience in social work, childcare, or related fields is required
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and child welfare practices
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health principles
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience working with children is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques is a plus
