We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Monitor. Visitations will take place throughout the Tampa Bay area and we have a particular need for someone to cover Pinellas County, Palm Harbor and Tarpon Springs areas. As a Monitor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in various settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.Duties:
- Provide supervision and support to individuals in a variety of public settings, such as parks, libraries, museums, sporting events, restaurants and other public facilities.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all individuals under your care
- Implement crisis management techniques and interventions when necessary
- Assist with behavioral health interventions and strategies
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers or child protective services, to ensure the best outcomes for individuals
- Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations
- Conduct regular check-ins and monitor progress of individuals
- Document observations and incidents accurately and thoroughly
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field
- Previous experience in social work, childcare, or related fields is required
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and child welfare practices
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with children is highly desirable
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques is a plus
