Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Family Support Specialist/Social Worker to join our dedicated team. Duties Assess family needs and develop tailored intervention plans to promote child safety and family stability Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support during emergencies or high-stress situations Collaborate with child protective services, child welfare agencies, and community organizations to coordinate care Offer counseling and guidance to families dealing with issues related to child & family services, disabilities, or high-risk situations Maintain detailed case documentation and write clear reports on client progress and service outcomes Conduct home visits, safety assessments, and follow-up visits to ensure ongoing support and compliance with legal requirements Facilitate communication between clients, service providers, legal entities, and community resources to ensure effective service delivery Requirements Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field; Master's degree preferred Proven experience working with children, families, or high-risk populations in social services or child welfare settings Knowledge of child protective services protocols, child & family law, and crisis management techniques Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively engage clients and document case details Ability to work with culturally diverse communities with sensitivity and respect Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid required; additional certifications such as Child & Infant CPR are a plus Bilingual skills highly desirable to serve diverse populations effectively Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is advantageous Excellent conflict management skills to navigate sensitive situations professionally Join us in making a lasting impact by supporting families through compassionate care, expert guidance, and dedicated advocacy.
