•over S taffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled a Saves Navigator Justification
• SAVES Navigator Communication — Facilitate communication and coordination between domestic violence victims seeking to apply for child support and existing open cases where a parent has disclosed a history of domestic violence; provide soft case management for each domestic violence case enrolled in the SAVES program; collaborate with domestic violence advocacy organizations; participate in the Georgia Commission on Family Violence (GCFV) Train‑the‑Trainer initiative and deliver SAVES training to DCSS staff. Team Collaboration — Ability to work as a team player with Family Justice Center staff members and collaborate with community partners to create systems of support for children and families. Confidentiality Standards — Maintain a strict standard of confidentiality regarding all case information while providing services and answering questions about child support processes and other resources. Resource Directory Management — Develop, maintain, and regularly update a directory of local, regional, and statewide domestic violence and community resources to support the SAVES Program, facilitate customer referrals, and strengthen collaboration with community partners. Participant Resource Connection — Connect participants to community resources including family violence shelters, survivor support groups, medical and mental health services, chemical dependency, employment and training programs, food shelves, public assistance, SSI/SSDI, childcare, transportation, subsidized housing, temporary protection orders, restraining orders, and legal assistance. Birth Facility Collaboration — Connect with birth facilities and hospitals to collaborate with Domestic Violence resources. Meeting Participation — Attend monthly and quarterly network meetings within the service area, including Family Violence Task Force, Family Justice Center Committee, Domestic Violence Support Groups, Office of Child Support Services learning calls, annual out‑of‑state grantee meetings, and more. Community Promotion — Promote the SAVES grant throughout the community by building and maintaining relationships with local shelters, service providers, community groups, legal aid, data analysts, court services, and others. Court Attendance — Attend court proceedings when requested by the family or law enforcement to assist with providing necessary information and resources through community collaboration. Safety Protocol Monitoring — Ensure identified safety protocols are monitored weekly for cases listed with family violence indicators; notify survivors/victims as pain points occur; prepare case tracking and case review schedules. Trauma-Informed Support — Offer compassion and empathy to survivors/victims and provide Trauma‑Informed Principles to support, promote safety, and build trust. Child Support Staff Integration — Incorporate child support staff in activities with legal, judicial, and public organizations. Specialized Caseload Management — Manage a specialized SAVES caseload to ensure child support obligations are met and services are provided equitably. Community Relationship Building — Promote the SAVES grant throughout the community by establishing local relationships and connecting program participants to community resources. Constituent Communication — Communicate with survivors/victims and other constituents via telephone, email, and direct contact to ensure safer service goals are met. Professional Responsibilities — Perform other professional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor and document case management activities within policy‑established time frames.
Preferred Qualifications :
Education Requirement — Bachelor's degree in social work, Behavioral Science, or a related field, with at least one year of relevant experience in social services, case management, or a related area. Social Work Competency — Demonstrates a firm grasp of social work principles, client‑centered care, crisis intervention services, skill set, and community‑based support strategies.
