A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program required; Master's Degree preferred. Current Iowa LMSW, LISW, or LBSW licensure preferred. Minimum one year of medical social work, counseling, or related healthcare experience preferred. Full-time availability, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance required. Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare systems, community resources, and social service programs. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Experience conducting psychosocial assessments, care planning, counseling, and patient advocacy. Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach to care. Ability to connect patients and families with appropriate community resources and support services. Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and commitment to maintaining accurate and confidential documentation.Benefits
