Minimum 2 Years Clinical Experience Preferred About the Role We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) to join the Behavioral Health team at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa. The ideal candidate will provide evidence-based behavioral health services, conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to patients across the lifespan. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide evidence-based individual, family, and behavioral health counseling for patients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, adjustment disorders, and other mental health concerns. Collaborate with primary care providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate integrated patient care. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, treatment records, and ensure compliance with organizational, state, and regulatory standards. Educate patients and families on behavioral health conditions, coping strategies, community resources, and wellness planning. Requirements Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program. Active Iowa Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) License required. Minimum 2 years of clinical social work experience preferred. Experience in rural healthcare or medically underserved populations is a plus. Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
