Role Description The Coordinator of School Health Services is a full-time, on-site role located in Coeur d'Alene, ID. This position oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health services across the district to support student well-being and readiness to learn. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating school nursing services, developing and updating health policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with state and local health regulations. The coordinator collaborates with principals, school nurses, counselors, families, and community health partners to address student health needs, manage chronic conditions, and respond to health-related emergencies. The role also involves training school staff on health protocols, maintaining accurate health records, and promoting health education initiatives aligned with district goals. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in coordinating school or community health services, with experience managing health programs and implementing health policies. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, nurses, counselors, administrators, and community health partners. Strong organizational and planning skills, including managing multiple sites, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining accurate health documentation. Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, families, staff, and external agencies in a clear, respectful, and culturally responsive manner. Knowledge of student health needs, chronic disease management, public health principles, and applicable state and local regulations for school settings. Proficiency in using digital tools and student information systems to manage health records and report data securely and efficiently. Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, school health, or a related field; relevant professional licensure or certification (such as Registered Nurse) strongly preferred.
