Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a key support role serving students from PreK through 8th grade in a small, dynamic district near Chicago Heights, IL. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work at two engaging school sites: one serving PreK-4th grade, and the other focused on 5th-8th grade students. With a manageable caseload of just 13 students, you'll have the ability to make a genuine impact while maintaining quality connections. Your responsibilities will include completing initial and re-evaluations as required, and thoughtfully planning and delivering brief, targeted social-emotional learning lessons to students each day. Enjoy consistent hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., allowing for work-life balance and predictability in your weekly schedule.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement Experience or familiarity with PreK-8th grade populations Commitment to fostering positive social-emotional development Strong organizational skills for managing small caseloads and conducting evaluations
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
