A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Responsibilities Supervise children during after-school programs, summer camps, and special events, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Lead engaging youth group activities, including games, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and educational projects that promote teamwork and creativity Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment Implement safety protocols such as first aid procedures, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response plans to handle incidents effectively Collaborate with team members to develop age-appropriate curricula that support childhood development and learning goals Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance in accordance with best practices in special education Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports to ensure compliance with program standards Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and guide children of diverse backgrounds Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiar with first aid protocols for emergency situations Experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, summer camps, or youth programs Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Ability to facilitate youth group activities that foster social skills and teamwork Experience in outdoor work environments or outdoor activity facilitation is a plus Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and children Demonstrated leadership abilities in team settings or youth programs Background in teaching or tutoring young children is highly desirable Compassionate approach rooted in Christian counseling or similar values is an added benefit Join us to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners!
