Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant community as a Children's Ministry Assistant, where your passion for nurturing young hearts and minds will help create a warm, engaging environment for children to grow spiritually and emotionally. In this role, you will support the planning and execution of children's programs, foster meaningful family engagement, and assist in cultivating a welcoming atmosphere rooted in faith-based values. Your dedication will inspire the next generation and strengthen our community's spiritual foundation. Responsibilities Assist the Director of Children and Youth Ministries with the planning and implementation of Sunday morning children's ministry programming. Help prepare curriculum materials, classroom resources, and supplies for children's programs. Support, encourage, and communicate with children's ministry teachers and volunteers. Assist with maintaining organized classrooms, supplies, and ministry spaces that are safe, welcoming, and engaging for children. Help welcome new families and build relationships with children, parents, and caregivers. Assist with children's ministry communication including newsletters, weekly updates, emails, and social media content as needed. Maintain accurate ministry information and assist with updates in Realm or other church systems. Assist with special children and family ministry events including, but not limited to, LEGO Bible Study, Family Movie Night, Fall Festival and other family events. Assist with the planning and execution of Vacation Bible School including volunteer communication, preparation, decorations, supplies, and daily operations. Help identify opportunities to strengthen children's connection to worship, service, and the larger church community. Skills Proven experience working with children in religious or community settings, demonstrating patience and effective communication skills. Ability to plan events efficiently while managing multiple responsibilities with enthusiasm and attention to detail.
