Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An exciting contract opportunity is now available for an experienced School Social Worker to make a meaningful impact in a school setting near Harvard, IL. This position serves a Pre K caseload, supporting young learners and their families for the remainder of the academic year, with an immediate start through May.
Key Qualifications:
Current Illinois School Social Worker (IL SSW) credentials required. Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois is a must. Experience providing social work services in schools, preferably at the Pre K level. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and commitment to supporting students' emotional and social well-being. Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect social work services to Pre K students as identified in IEPs. Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies, individualized for each student's needs. Consult with teachers, staff, and families to promote students' academic and social success. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements. Advocate for student needs and serve as a bridge to community resources, as appropriate. In addition to a dynamic work environment, this contract role provides excellent benefits.
