Seeking a Family Advocate with experience and the vision to serve families and the community. Family Advocate will develop, maintain and support advocacy services for the purpose of preserving families, enriching lives, strengthening families and community. We are seeking an advocacy team member with experience in family and community work. The Family Advocate will play a key role in strengthening the community by bringing the community together to support and promote the well being of children and families. Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of family and community development are a must. There must be a vision and commitment to the mission and values of Family Advocacy. The Family Advocate will develop and support leadership to empower families and community members to be active in reaching their full potential in the community. Family Advocates must have a Bachelor's Degree, experience in the human service or community work area. Have the capacity to develop advocacy in areas prioritized by community leaders and residents in the community. Must be able to serve as a case manager retrieving and preparing the required reports and records. The advocate will document and manage advocacy cases and complete reports in a timely fashion. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work across diverse systems. While being able to establish strong relationships with community members of all ages, races and backgrounds. Advocates will assist in fundraising as needed. The Family Advocate must be able to create and grow a social service and social change program. The ability to consider long established social issues in new ways and plan and implement community based program to serve youth and their families. The advocate must be able to empower the community to build strong and vibrant families, youth and neighborhoods. Must have strong verbal and written skills and the ability to apply interpersonal skills, leadership skills and insight that effectively interpret and influence policies and practices that impact children and families as they interface with other institutions. Advocates must be able to work with program evaluators in a positive way in order to research and assess agency program outcome. A passion for the mission and vision beyond a 9-5 work schedule. Pay:

$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
