A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated School Social Worker to support elementary students in grades 3 through 5. In this essential role, you'll play a key part in fostering positive school environments and helping young learners navigate academic and social challenges.

Qualifications and Experience:

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker Prior experience working with elementary-aged children preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families Familiarity with best practices in crisis intervention and counseling in a school setting

Responsibilities:

Provide direct social-emotional support to 3rd to 5th grade students, addressing issues such as anxiety, behavior, and peer relationships Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to promote positive coping strategies Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create strategies that foster student well-being and success Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist with the development of behavioral intervention plans Serve as a liaison connecting families to community resources or mental health services when needed Maintain accurate student records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with school policies and regulations Experience a rewarding contract role where your expertise can make a real difference in the lives of students during important formative years.
