Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker Endorsement Previous experience working in K-12 educational settings is highly desirable Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans Strong communication, advocacy, and case management skills Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and community resources Commitment to cultural competence and equity in practice

Responsibilities:

Provide social-emotional support and crisis intervention to students Conduct assessments and collaborate on developing intervention strategies Participate in IEP meetings to determine appropriate services for students with special needs Work closely with educators, administrators, and families to support student success Deliver group and individual counseling sessions Connect students and families to community resources and services as needed Document services provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with policies and legal requirements
