Outreach is a faith-based nonprofit organization in Indianapolis, IN, that serves youth experiencing homelessness with the compassion of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to equip and empower youth (14 to 24 years of age) facing homelessness to achieve stability and life transformation. What We Believe We operate fundamentally through God's grace. Although Outreach, Inc. is faith-based, we are not based upon any one denomination's doctrine or theology. Position Summary The ARCH program focuses on Advocacy, Relationship, Coaching in High Schools, serving several school districts and around 12 individual high schools in Marion County and beyond. The primary responsibility of this position is to coach students experiencing housing instability with unconditional love and authentic relationships, empowering them to achieve outcomes related to high school retention, graduation, and clear post-secondary goals. Position Duties & Responsibilities The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Coaching Caseload goal of 20 students, prioritizing meeting weekly with students while also handling triage for new referrals appropriately. Implement coaching presence and philosophy in every meeting with students, prioritizing student goals and plans. Attend and participate in all coach training opportunities, actively living out the core coaching philosophies in their work. Co-create, lead and run events, activities and experiences for students on and off-school campus. Advocacy Collaborate with partner schools to increase awareness of ARCH program and services to students. Build caring and compassionate professional relationships with schools across Central Indiana. Find relevant resources and support to serve students more adequately. Build and maintain supportive resource list for minors and students to be regularly reviewed with ARCH team to maintain relevancy. Administration Weekly accurate documentation of individuals in database and provide regular reporting to ARCH Manager. Track all expenses and receipts, including monthly reports on spending, mileage, etc. Outreach Staff Responsibilities Attend staff and department meetings, team training, 1-1 supervision with ARCH Manager. Participate in team and individual evaluations. Participate in fundraiser events and other programs which further Outreach's mission. •A successful candidate will invest in the partnerships it takes to provide wraparound services for a student who is coded under McKinney-Vento. This specifically includes relationships with school administrators, receptionists, guidance counselors, social workers, and all support staff. Work Environment This role primarily works at contracted schools in the Indianapolis area but will also spend a significant portion of their time at the Outreach, Inc location. May require up to 5-10 hours of driving each week. While performing the duties of this job, the employee has the potential to encounter unpredictable clients. Individuals must possess a working knowledge of de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skills. Having a basic understanding of Trauma Informed Care is essential. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time salaried position and requires the ability to be flexible in your day-to-day work schedule including very occasional evenings and weekends. Preferred Education and Experience College Degree preferred but not required. At least 1 year of employment or 3 years volunteer/work experience for a community organization or a combination of volunteer, work, and educational experiences. Experience working with under-resourced youth or young adults is required. Additional Eligibility Requirements Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with organizational policies. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record. Supervisory Responsibility None Position Leader ARCH Manager Classification​ Non-exempt, Salaried Salary & Benefits $45,000-$50,000 annually.
