Geminus Corporation partners with community-based health care providers, social service organizations and early childhood education programs to help increase access to high-quality social health care for children and families across Northern Indiana. Geminus Corporation is a member of the Regional Care Group.
Position Purpose:
The Program Monitor reports to the Quality Assurance Manager of Head Start and is responsible for the overall monitoring of the Head Start program's performance outcome expectations for the following: Family Services; Health, Safety, and Nutrition Services; Education Services; Mental Health Services; Disability Services; and ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Enrollment, and Selection). The Program Monitor also monitors for program compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards; State of Indiana Child Care Licensing, Paths to QUALITY, and NAEYC requirements; and internal systems, policies, and procedures. The Program Monitor supports Head Start/Early Head Start program staff in establishing and maintaining compliant and quality program services that support the growth and development of children and families toward school readiness goals. Individual content area and site-based management are responsible for day-to-day operations and compliance of their respective sites/content areas. The Program Monitor supports this process through regularly scheduled monitoring activities that incorporate on-site visits and a variety of data collection methods and reporting systems.
Scope of Responsibility:
The Program Monitor reports to the Quality Assurance Manager. The Program Monitor is expected to make operational decisions specific to their assigned site(s) but is accountable to the Quality Assurance Manager for those decisions that must be compliant with approved policies and procedures as well as external standards that apply to Head Start.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
Academic:
Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, Public Administration, Human Services, or a related field.
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in a similar position or in an administrative capacity in a Head Start/ preschool/early childhood education setting; or and/or experience in State or Federally-regulated child development or family services programs; and/or experience with systems and compliance monitoring.
