The Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center is dedicated to helping children and families heal from the trauma of abuse. We are looking for someone to ensure development and delivering of child sexual abuse education and prevention programming across WKCAC's service area. This position will provide culturally competent, developmentally appropriate education to children, families, schools, and community partners. The Educational Advocate plays a key role in prevention efforts by increasing awareness, promoting safety, and strengthening community response to child abuse while supporting WKCAC's mission and multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop, coordinate, and deliver age-appropriate child sexual abuse prevention programming in schools and community settings. Build and maintain partnerships with school districts, educators, and community organizations across assigned regions. Schedule and facilitate presentations for students, parents, educators, and community members. Adapt curriculum and presentations to meet the developmental, cultural, and regional needs of diverse populations. Promote awareness of child abuse prevention, internet safety, and healthy boundaries. Collaborate with MDT members and WKCAC staff to align prevention efforts with overall service delivery. Assist in the development and distribution of educational materials and resources.

Preferred Knolwedge, Skills, & Abilities:

Knowledge of child abuse dynamics, prevention strategies, and trauma-informed practices. Experience working with children, families, and/or educational systems. Strong public speaking and presentation skills. Ability to engage diverse audiences, including children of various ages. Ability to work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships within communities. Compassionate, approachable, and professional demeanor.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree preferred, High School Diploma required Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Knowledge or experience in child welfare preferred. Valid drivers license.

Working Conditions:

Work will be conducted within WKCAC coverage area. Must be willing to travel within the service area as required.

Pay:

$37,584.00 - $39,672.00 per year
