Professional Responsibilities Include:
Lead and coordinate the school's comprehensive college, career, and post-secondary readiness program, ensuring that all students graduate with a clear, individualized, and actionable plan for success beyond high school.
Provide leadership for post-secondary planning initiatives, including college, career, military, apprenticeship, workforce, and other pathways, ensuring equitable access to opportunities and resources for all students.
Coordinate and facilitate student engagement with MEFA Pathways and related college and career readiness tools to support career exploration, the development of Individual Learning Plans, and informed post-secondary decision-making.
Provide individualized and group support related to post-secondary readiness, including academic planning, career exploration, college admissions, financial aid processes, FAFSA completion, scholarship opportunities, and transition planning beyond high school.
Collaborate with students, families, faculty, and community partners to support students in identifying, pursuing, and achieving their post-secondary goals and aspirations.
Monitor student progress toward graduation requirements and provide ongoing academic advising to ensure students remain on track for graduation and attainment of post-secondary readiness milestones.
Coordinate student course selection and program planning, including support for early college opportunities, dual enrollment, career pathways, internships, job shadows, community-based learning experiences, and other experiences aligned with student interests and goals.
Serve as the school's Section 504 Coordinator, overseeing referral, evaluation, eligibility determination, accommodation planning, implementation, and annual review processes for students eligible for support under Section 504.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district requirements related to Section 504, including maintaining appropriate documentation, facilitating meetings, and collaborating with staff and families regarding accommodations and supports.
Collaborate with administrators, teachers, special education staff, school adjustment counselors, and outside agencies to ensure coordinated and comprehensive support for students.
Provide direct support to students individually and in groups related to academic success, post-secondary readiness, goal setting, self-advocacy, and transition planning.
Support students experiencing academic, attendance, social-emotional, or behavioral challenges through consultation, intervention planning, referrals, and coordination with appropriate school and community resources.
Respond to student crises and provide appropriate intervention, support, referrals, and follow-up as needed in collaboration with school support staff and administration.
Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with families and caregivers regarding students' academic progress, post-secondary planning, support needs, and overall development.
Participate in the development and implementation of intervention and support plans for students experiencing academic, behavioral, attendance, or social-emotional challenges.
Develop and maintain partnerships with colleges, universities, employers, community organizations, and workforce development agencies to expand opportunities for students.
Coordinate and support schoolwide programming related to college and career readiness, including college visits, career fairs, financial aid nights, apprenticeship opportunities, and post-secondary awareness events.
Maintain accurate and timely records, documentation, and reports in accordance with school, district, state, and federal requirements.
Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, required trainings, and other meetings throughout the school year.
Participate in assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with contractual expectations.
Assist in fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture that promotes belonging, engagement, wellness, and post-secondary success for all students.
Perform other duties as assigned by administration to support the needs of the school community and advance the mission and goals of the school.
Rate of pay: $52,803-$91,482, dependent upon education and experience. This position also includes 7 summer days at per diem rate.
