School Adjustment Counselor/Social Worker (Long Term Substitute) - ORR High School, Mattapoisett Old Rochester Regional School District/MA Supt. #55 Mattapoisett, MA Job Details Full-time $130.00 - $323.54 a day 13 hours ago Qualifications Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) Conflict resolution in education Student emotional support Referral services for crisis intervention support Family collaboration in education Faculty collaboration Mid-level Working with high schoolers Support services coordination in school social work Classroom behavior modification Parent communication in school administration Social Work School counseling services facilitation Full Job Description Old Rochester Regional School District is seeking an innovative & collaborative Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor (Long Term Substitute) for Old Rochester Regional High School in Mattapoisett, MA to cover a leave of absence starting on August 31, 2026 through about the first week of December 2026. School Social Worker/ School Adjustment license with DESE is required.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct service and consultation for studentsUse a significant portion of each day in direct contact with students for counseling, planning or decision makingProvide classroom and small group instructionProvide crisis counseling and referral when necessary to outside agenciesMediate with students and staff to resolve conflicts that interfere with the learning process. Provide consultation to staff regarding student difficulty in the classroom and assistance in developing positive behavior intervention and support plansServe as a resource person to staff to provide information about behavioral, social, emotional matters which may have significance for students program. Collaborate with teachers, administrators and parentsAll other duties assigned by the principal.
