In this role, you will provide safe, engaging, and enriching afterschool experiences for children including homework help, activities, and active supervision from the end of the school day until pick-up.
Your Role Will Include:
Program Management:
Plan and execute programs that meet the needs of children and families; maintain compliance with EEC licensing regulations and YUSA Healthy Eating Physical Activity (HEPA) standards; provide reasonable accommodations for children with disabilities per EEC and ADA.
Staff Engagement & Development:
Supervise program participants and volunteers in accordance with organizational policy, EEC regulations, and QRIS standards.
Membership Engagement & Development:
Build relationships with families and members; create a supportive community environment; help recruit and engage new families.
Facility Management:
Partner with the Afterschool Director and Site Coordinator to keep program facilities and equipment safe, clean, and well maintained.
Volunteer Development:
Recruit and engage volunteers.
Community Involvement & Support:
Assist with YMCA fundraising activities and events.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or GED plus 6+ months of experience working with school-age children. Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus, with 3+ months of experience working with school-age children. Reliable transportation required, comfortable and able to work across more than one nearby location as needed.
Must pass background check:
EEC background check including fingerprinting.
Salary and Benefits:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour.
Sick time accrual:
1 hour per 30 hours worked. Complimentary individual YMCA membership. 25% discount on childcare. 50% camp discount for their children.
Location & Shift Times:
Clifford H. Marshall Elementary School. Germantown Neighborhood Center. Hale Family Afterschool 1:00-6:00 PM daily; 11:00 AM-6:00 PM on Wednesdays. Schedule is flexible; candidates with parenting/childcare experience are especially welcome. Non-school-day and flexible-day scheduling may apply. hnwqswn79K
