Step into a meaningful role making a difference in the lives of high school students as a School Social Worker on contract assignment. This onsite position offers the opportunity to provide vital support services to adolescents in grades 9-12, helping foster their emotional, social, and academic growth during a crucial stage of their development. You'll be covering a maternity leave through early January 2027, working full-time hours (37.5 per week) with a manageable caseload of 35 students, ages 14-18.

Qualifications & Experience:

Current and valid School Social Worker certificate for Massachusetts Demonstrated experience working with high school-aged students within a school setting Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational abilities Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams Deep understanding of social-emotional learning, behavioral interventions, and school-based supports

Role Responsibilities:

Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address student needs Develop and implement intervention and support plans tailored to students social, emotional, and academic challenges Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student wellbeing and success Deliver crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and coordinate referrals to community resources as needed Maintain accurate documentation, manage confidential information, and adhere to ethical and legal standards
