Pay & Benefits:
Starting at $24.00/hour Part-time benefits are available Employee referral program - up to $150 for every successful new hire you refer Friendship and laughter comes with a paycheck! As an AlphaBEST Captain, you'll be trained to do the following: Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to our student Explorers in fitness, the arts, technology, and more! Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site. Train AlphaBEST Guides on how to lead adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder. Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that build on students' interests and talents. Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, parent, and staff Required qualifications: 21+ and a bachelor's degree or associates degree in a child-related field such as elementary education, child psychology or recreation management from a college or university is preferred. Flexible and demonstrates a passion to work with children in a learning environment Provides a supportive and caring environment for children Ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents, staff, and other management Ability to successfully pass and maintain criminal history background checks and Child Protective Services Registry Strong attention to detail and accuracy Well-organized, thorough, and highly reliable/dependable Ability to remain calm and maintain a high-level of professionalism and personal work ethics/integrity at all times Basic Microsoft Office experience preferred Direct instructional experience in a licensed childcare program, an elementary public or charter school, Department of Health licensed camp or an approved private educational organizational system.
