Community Social Worker Schedule:

35 hours/week; flexible including evenings/weekends; on-call as needed Position Overview The FIRST Steps Together Community Social Worker is responsible for providing group supervision and training for the Family Peer Recovery Support Specialists. The Community Social Worker(CSW) will assure compliance with agency and funding source standards and provide leadership within the program. The CSW will work collaboratively with parents, colleagues, and the community to build a community of support and healing for parents and families impacted by substance use disorder.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assure high quality, individualized, strength-based services for participants are maintained through group supervision and training of staff Assist Program Director(PD) in developing and revising program policies and procedures Assist PD in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orienting and managing program staff Ensure records are accurate, current, and meet all agency and funding source requirements Maintain participant caseload including facilitating groups Hold certification in Mothering from the Inside Out and participate in all DPH meetings and trainings Facilitate client enrollments, admissions, and administer the GRPA Provide training and professional support for FRSS Review all reports of suspected abuse/neglect of children; assure appropriate actions taken Maintain agency confidentiality policies and ensure the staff does the same Participate in professional development, weekly supervision and self-reflection

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Hold a Master of Social Work degree and an active Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work license (LICSW) or working toward. LMHC is also acceptable. Have a minimum of 3 years of social work experience. Knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system as well as the local health and social service organizations/systems. Demonstrates a comfort with multiple pathways to recovery from substance use disorder and willingness to embrace a strength based approach that recognizes an individual's preferences and autonomy as well as the value and uniqueness of each family. Sensitivity and understanding to any pathway to recovery, including but not limited to, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), at any time during recovery including pregnancy. Strong advocacy skills along with knowledge of community based services, resources, and local recovery community. Hold a Certified Addictions Recovery Coach (CARC) certificate, or willing to become certified. Comfortable and experience with computer systems including Microsoft 365 PERSONAL

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
