Opportunity Summary:
FOR SCHOOL BASED SERVICES, CLINICIANS WORK HOURS THAT CORRESPOND TO SCHOOL HOURS, 8AM-4PM. THIS VARIES DEPENDING ON IF THE SCHOOL IS ELEMENTARY OR MIDDLE SCHOOL. FOR HIGH SCHOOL THE HOURS CAN BE FROM 7
30 TO 3:30PMOCCASIONALLY, EVENING HOURS ARE HELD TO ACCOMMODATE FAMILY SESSIONS.
Internship time frame predominately runs from September through April but can include summertime internship.Eligibility Requirements:
- Current Student of an accredited Masters of Social Work or Masters of Counseling program
- Master's or doctoral level student
- Student must be enrolled at an academic Institution that has an existing contract with Sheppard Pratt.
- Students applying to this internship/practicum will need a strong foundation in child/adolescent mental health theory and related theory and practice, clinical reasoning, foundations of evidence-based practice, group theory and application, and teaching/learning concepts and applications related to staff, client, and caregiver education.
