Key Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) required Active state social work licensure Educator certification from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), or eligibility/willingness to obtain upon offer Prior experience in a school setting is highly valued, but open to all licensed social workers passionate about educational environments Excellent communication, organizational, and advocacy skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans and behavioral intervention strategies Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Lead crisis intervention and provide referral services as needed Serve as a bridge between school and community resources, ensuring comprehensive student support Maintain confidential and timely records in compliance with policies and ethical standards
