Job Summary CARE Healing Center has been serving survivors of sexual violence and Human Trafficking in Carroll County since 1978. Formerly known as the Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County, CARE provides confidential, trauma-informed services including counseling, advocacy, prevention and education. We are committed to empowering survivors, strengthening community response systems, and fostering a safer, more informed community. The Human Trafficking Regional Navigator is a vital role dedicated to combating human trafficking through community engagement, outreach, and support services. This position involves developing and implementing programs that connect survivors with resources, raising awareness, and fostering collaboration among local agencies. The Regional Navigator will serve as a bridge between vulnerable populations and service providers, ensuring that victims receive comprehensive assistance in a safe and supportive environment. The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a deep understanding of social issues related to trafficking, public health, and social work. This is a full-time, grant funded position. Duties Provide emergency response and assessment to identified and suspected victims of human trafficking within designated timeframe. Complete assessments that include participation by child/youth, parents/guardians in the identification of strengths, service needs, and transition/discharge planning. Participate in regular care coordination meetings, as well as court appointments, school meetings, community providers meetings, group, individual and family meetings as scheduled. Develop and implement outreach programs to identify and assist human trafficking victims within the region. Conduct public speaking engagements to raise awareness about human trafficking issues and available resources. Coordinate with local organizations, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and social services to create a network of support for survivors. Oversee data collection efforts to monitor program effectiveness and report on outcomes for continuous improvement. Develop educational materials and conduct training sessions for community members, service providers, and stakeholders. Facilitate survivor-centered services such as case management, public health education, or social work support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate behavioral science or human service field; Masters preferred. Minimum two years' experience working in related environment providing case management or services to survivors of sexual assault or HT Knowledge of intensive psychosocial services and a wide range of skills required Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience and skills in community organization or implementing public health initiatives Must be organized and able to meet and manage scheduling demands Thorough understanding sexual assault, trauma, domestic violence, dating violence, and HT Thorough understanding and knowledge of diverse communities, underserved populations, inclusivity, and accessibility Competency in word processing and presentation software; database experience helpful Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, and occasional weekends Must possess valid driver's license and have access to reliable, insured vehicle Must pass criminal background check (conducted every three years)Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively. Teaching experience or the ability to educate others about complex social issues is advantageous.
