9685572-04281 Job Description Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting pre-K through 6th-grade students in a dynamic educational setting near Harrison, ME. This role focuses on offering direct, impactful mental health and counseling services to a small caseload, providing essential support both within and outside of special education. In close collaboration with educators and multidisciplinary teams, you will also play a key role in IEP coordination without the demands of an itinerant schedule.
Key Qualifications:
Active Maine Educator Certification Current Maine clinical license (LCSW, LMSW-cc, LCPC, or LCPC-c) Previous experience as a school social worker, counselor, or clinical therapist with children and adolescents Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration abilities Understanding of special education processes and the development/implementation of
IEPs Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and small group counseling and social work services to students, addressing both general education and special education needs Serve a caseload currently averaging 56 students weekly, with opportunities to support additional students beyond special education Actively participate in team meetings, including IEP planning, to ensure comprehensive student support Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to enhance student well-being and foster positive school environments Maintain detailed records and documentation aligned with school and state requirements This contract opportunity follows a Monday through Friday schedule with 35 hours per week, running from the start date through June 10, making it ideal for professionals seeking immediate impact within a supportive learning community.
