Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as an experienced school-based Social Worker in the Allendale, MI area. On a contract basis, you'll play a key role supporting student success by providing essential social and emotional guidance within an educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker Previous experience in school settings preferred, with knowledge of child development and classroom dynamics Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families Capacity to manage a diverse caseload with empathy, organization, and efficiency
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students Provide individual and group counseling sessions addressing a wide range of concerns Develop and implement intervention strategies in partnership with teachers and families Serve as a resource for crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and referral to community agencies Maintain accurate records and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed Advocate for students' needs while supporting a positive and inclusive school climate
