Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support students across K-12 grade levels in a dynamic educational environment. This role focuses on promoting student well-being, addressing social-emotional needs, and collaborating with educators and families to foster a positive and inclusive school climate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct individual and group social-emotional support to students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings Support and contribute to the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process Assist in implementing and maintaining Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiatives Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Serve as a resource for staff regarding social-emotional and behavioral strategies
Qualifications:
Valid Michigan School Social Worker certification through the Michigan Department of Education (full licensure preferred) Current Social Worker License through the
Michigan LARA Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a school setting with K-12 students Knowledge of special education processes and IEP development Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
