Job Description

Step into a fulfilling opportunity as a contract School Social Worker, serving K-12 students and impacting lives near Charlotte, MI. As a full-time professional, you will play an essential role in supporting the well-being and success of 48 students on your caseload, partnering with educators, families, and administrators to help every child thrive.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker in Michigan Previous experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and family systems Excellent communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing emotional, behavioral, and social issues Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to student needs Work alongside teachers, administrators, and families to assess student concerns and foster a supportive environment Participate in IEP meetings and document student progress Offer crisis support and connect students and families with community resources Promote positive school culture and social-emotional growth
