Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as a dedicated Social Worker in a supportive educational setting. This full-time contract position begins August 25 and continues through June 18, providing the opportunity to foster positive change throughout the entire school year. You'll work closely with students, staff, and families, supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral success of young learners. The role carries a caseload of 50-60 students, with the possibility of increasing, and offers a robust and engaging professional experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certification as a School Social Worker (SSW) with approval through the Michigan Department of Education. Previous experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational or clinical setting preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills. Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct social work services and interventions to students in need. Conduct assessments and develop individualized support plans. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to advocate for students' well-being. Support positive behavior, attendance, and academic success through targeted interventions. Maintain detailed and confidential records in accordance with school and state guidelines. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
