Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners by supporting early childhood and kindergarten students as a School Social Worker. This contract role (32.5 hours per week) spans from November 2nd through early 2027, offering the unique opportunity to assist with vital evaluations and provide essential services during formative educational years. Key Qualifications:
Current Michigan School Social Worker Certification in hand Active Michigan Social Worker License (LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW) Experience in school settings, especially with early childhood and kindergarten populations, is preferred Skilled in social-emotional assessments, crisis intervention, and collaborating with educators Strong communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct support and counseling to early childhood and kindergarten students Conduct and assist with evaluations and assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team Develop and implement intervention and crisis response plans Work closely with families, teachers, and school staff to identify student needs and recommend supportive resources Advocate for students' social and emotional well-being Your expertise is valued and rewarded.
