QUALIFICATIONS
Master's in Social Work, required. Licensed/Certified by the Michigan Department of Education, required. Administer both standardized and informal assessments (observation, interviews, etc.). Assist staff in developing and implementing social, affective, and behavior interventions. A ssist staff and families with crisis needs. Excellent verbal and written language skills. Organized and able to manage multiple assignments within multiple buildings. Able to develop and implement positive behavior support systems. Thorough knowledge and ability to facilitate functional behavior assessments. E xperience and ability to write standards-based IEPs including measurable goals. Ability to lead teams in writing behavior intervention plans. Collaborate with staff and families. Thorough knowledge of community agencies that support students and families, experience with a variety of disabilities including ASD, EI, and SXI. Must be CPI trained or willing to be CPI trained within 30 days of hire date and renewed annually. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, staff members, parents and the community. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
