Student and Family Support Coordinator 25 hours per week / school days only

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred Associates degree or 60 college credits required. Major in social work, education, family relations or psychology preferred.
DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes, utilizes and maintains an effective system for working with students, parents, schools, social agencies and other individuals and agencies needed to assist in resolving attendance issues and problems to increase student attendance and achievement. Assists students, families and school personnel in developing agreed upon documented goals and outcomes; monitors progress and communicates with appropriate individuals and agencies Serves as a major communication link between family and school. Assist schools in developing plans for parent participation with ongoing communication between home and school. Help and aid counselors in getting students to school and overall student success. Assist school and administration in helping to plan, schedule, and implementation of special department initiatives in order to meet objectives and schedules. For example, Positivity Project and other research based initiatives to help students and staff. Assist with the school newsletter information.
