Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker Experience working in school environments, preferably K-12 Strong advocacy, communication, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage confidential information with sensitivity and professionalism Skilled in assessing student needs, developing intervention plans, and implementing support strategies Familiarity with IEP processes and special education compliance is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct social-emotional assessments and provide targeted interventions to students Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment Engage families and caregivers to maximize student success both in and out of the classroom Connect students and families to relevant community services and mental health resources Provide crisis intervention and support for students facing immediate challenges Maintain detailed, confidential records and comply with district and state reporting requirements
