Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a positive impact on the lives of students as a Mental Health Specialist, supporting schools in the Grand Blanc, MI area. This contract position focuses on providing essential social-emotional and behavioral support to general education students, working one-on-one or in groups, and offering resources to classrooms and school staff. Openings are available at both the elementary and high school levels for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree required (no exceptions); candidates without a master's degree will not be considered Valid LARA license as applicable for psychologists, social workers, counselors, or marriage/family therapists (visit Michigan LARA for license details) Acceptable credentials include: Licensed master's level psychologist or limited license under supervision MDE-credentialed master's level school psychologist Licensed master's level social worker; limited LMSW under supervision considered Licensed master's level school social worker Licensed or limited licensed marriage and family therapist Licensed or limited licensed professional counselor under supervision Valid school counselor license (SCL), preliminary or temporary school counselor credentials, or a teaching certificate with school counselor endorsement (with willingness to meet
LLPC/LPC
requirements within 24 months if needed) Previous experience supporting youth mental health and education settings preferred
