Desired Qualifications:

Valid approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker. Demonstrated experience supporting elementary and preschool-aged students social, emotional, and behavioral well-being. Strong skills in crisis intervention, counseling, and the development of individualized support plans. Exceptional communication abilities for collaborating with educators, families, and outside agencies. Commitment to cultural sensitivity and responsive practices within diverse school communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct school social work services to students needing academic, behavioral, or emotional support. Conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and monitor student progress. Collaborate with classroom teachers, school administrators, and parents to promote student success. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement individualized education and behavior plans. Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and prevention services as needed. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies and requirements.
