Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting middle school students as a certified School Social Worker. This full-time position runs from ASAP through June 16th, 2027, where you'll collaborate closely with other support professionals to create a positive, inclusive environment. Bring your expertise and make a difference in young lives near Lincoln Park, MI, while enjoying a supportive setting and competitive compensation from $45/hr to $53/hr. Eligible professionals may also qualify for healthcare benefits, as well as housing and meals/incidentals.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Michigan School Social Worker certification Active Michigan state Social Worker License (LMSW, LLMSW, or LCSW) Experience supporting middle school-aged students preferred Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to fostering the social and emotional well-being of students
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group counseling services to students Assess student needs and develop targeted intervention plans Work with teachers, administrators, and other staff to address social and behavioral challenges Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school Assist with development and implementation of individualized education or behavioral plans Maintain accurate, confidential records and required documentation Engage families and community resources to provide comprehensive student support
