School-Based Social Worker | Mount Morris, Michigan Soliant - 3.9 Mount Morris, MI Job Details Full-time | Contract 21 hours ago Qualifications Social Work License Full Job Description Make a real impact in a full-time contract position supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral development. This role focuses on providing essential social work services for a 4th and 5th grade school building with approximately 195 students, including a caseload of about 15 students receiving special education services. You'll collaborate with educators and families to promote student well-being and provide targeted support for those who need it most.
Key Qualifications:
Michigan state social work license (LARA) required Approval for school social work practice through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Experience working within schools or with elementary students preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with students, staff, and families Ability to manage confidential student information with sensitivity and professionalism
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct social work services and interventions to both general education and special education students Conduct assessments and develop strategies to support at-risk students in overcoming barriers to success Facilitate small group interventions and implement restorative practices where needed Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized plans and coordinate services Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with all relevant guidelines and timelines Provide crisis intervention and connect students and families with appropriate resources
Schedule:
