Key Qualifications:
Valid LMSW or LLMSW licensure with a 310 letter, or willingness to obtain a 310. School Social Worker experience preferred, especially in supporting elementary-aged students. Strong skills in crisis intervention, behavioral assessment, and collaborative teamwork. Familiarity with special education evaluation processes and attending/leading IEP meetings. Excellent communication, organizational, and data analysis abilities.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver school social work services to students with a caseload of 24-30, focusing on 4th and 5th-grade age groups. Provide direct crisis intervention and support for students receiving special education services. Evaluate students for special education eligibility, contributing professional insight to multidisciplinary teams. Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, supporting the development of effective, individualized plans. Collect, analyze, and share data related to student progress and behavioral interventions. Take the lead in some behavior plan meetings, collaborating with staff and caregivers to ensure student success.
