What they do

A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. School Year Essential Duties:
Student support and case management Liaison between families and school for collaborating processes in the educational setting Analyze appropriate assessment results with staff and students Connecting, communicating and monitoring students/ families with appropriate outside support agencies Providing/connecting parents with parenting and educational services Providing/connecting students with appropriate support services Facilitating student intervention meetings/process in conjunction with building administrator Provide crisis intervention services as needed Maintains required records Completes student risk assessments Other duties as appropriate or as assigned Assist McKinney Vento and foster care families
Education and Experience:
Must have the appropriate endorsements.
