Job Description
Position Summary
The School of Social Sciences is seeking dependable, organized student workers to support faculty and staff with a variety of administrative and departmental responsibilities. This position offers valuable office experience in a professional, collaborative environment while providing flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments. Responsibilities
Provide administrative and clerical support to faculty and staff.
Assist with front desk coverage by greeting visitors and directing inquiries.
Complete general office tasks including filing, copying, scanning, and organizing materials.
Assist with grading tests and preparing course materials as directed.
Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain an organized office environment.
Support departmental events, special projects, and other assignments as needed.
Required Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Experience with Google Docs and Canva is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Previous clerical or office experience is preferred.
Dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality when appropriate.
Current Spring Arbor University student in good standing. Work Schedule
Hours are flexible and will be scheduled around the student's class schedule and departmental needs. Availability on Fridays is strongly preferred at approximately 5-10 hours per week.
